LASIK: Lookie Here

This is just a short update on my LASIK procedure (which I initially mentioned about a week ago).

I am currently seeing at 20/15 out of each eye, which is the optimal result. It really couldn't have gone better. Praise God for the incredible results and the blessing of near-perfect sight!

And a heartfelt thanks goes out to my wonderful parents for their generosity in paying for the surgery and encouraging me to get it done. You have both been a huge blessing in my life. I love you.

  1. Praise the Lord! I had LASIK done myself about 3 years ago and haven’t looked back (haha, sorry) since. Admittedly my right eye is going slightly myopic again, but it’s not bad enough to warrant glasses.

    Found your site from here:

  2. Very cool. I’m glad to hear that things went well for you, too.

As far as the myopia in one eye, you probably already know this, but sometimes they will correct only one myopic eye through LASIK (especially for older patients). This allows the uncorrected eye to see well up close, the corrected eye to see far off, and together, to see well at all distances. Pretty interesting stuff.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by. I took a look at your site and it’s very nice. Are you actually a preacher?

  3. No, both my eyes were corrected. The eye that’s now going myopic is the former “lazy eye” so I’m not entirely too surprised.

And no I’m not actually a preacher… involved in some church and varsity ministries, though. And my dad is a Presbyterian pastor. Does that count?

  4. Sure, you’ve got the association – you’re in.
