Divorced

It is official – I am now divorced.

In case you aren’t caught up on the happenings, Brie left me on June 2, 2006 (a complete surprise to me), filed for divorce on June 28, 2006, and it was finalized yesterday, July 25, 2006 (I got the notice thereof in the mail today). It’s been a tough couple months.

I’m not quite sure about what God ultimately has in this situation, but I’ve already seen Him work through the circumstances. He has always proven faithful, and I have no doubt that He will be here, as well. He has already begun healing my heart and my life, which is pretty amazing in and of itself.

I have been blessed through incredible support and love poured out to me by family, friends, and even acquaintances. If you are one of those people, thank you. Your prayers, encouragements, attentive ears, shoulders to cry on, and hugging arms have strengthened me in ways that I’m sure I don’t even know. May God bless you for your friendship, care, and love.

    How awesome it is though that you are already able to feel healing!

    3 years ago, a week before my wedding date my bride-to-be called it off, completely sideswiping me out of the blue… it was one of the toughest things I’ve ever had to go through but I know that during those times I was forced to look to God for support and the love that I was now lacking. And now I feel a better man for it all. I don’t how that compares to what you’re going through right now but just trust in His will. He’s a good guy and won’t let you down…

    I’ll keep you in my prayers, remember that God will be a lamp unto our feet as we walk the dark path.

  9. I’m thinking this would be a good time to focus on your web development talents (you are awesome at your job!). I’m not religious so I won’t comment on anything other than the fact that life is tough, marriage is tough, two people becoming one is tough and moving on is tough. But so are you.
    Don’t forget about your talents and mental strength. I bet you can use this phase of life to come out bigger, better and stronger.

  17. Hi there Nate, a friend of mine told me she is gathering some songs for me now that im going on maternity leave. She says i need to listen to this song from casting crows. I then ask my colleauge if she knows the song and says i must read a blog, and that is how i landed up here. Instant sadness i feel about your marriage, but at the same time an instant joy knowing that God is always in control. He knows why, when, where and howcome. He never will leave you stranded and to read that you are starting to heal already tells me that you know everything i have just said.
